Conhecer gente em MMO deixou de ser algo esquisito e muita gente faz boas amizades neste ambiente. O jogo est� oficialmente em nosso pa�s desde o in�cio da semana e, embora os servidores estejam meio lotados, a barreira idiom�tica � que ainda assusta muita gente � foi quebrada, pois o jogo todo est� em portugu�s. 1 � Aliena��o e V�cio

O maior problema de todos os jogadores que conseguiram largar WoW � o v�cio. Por ser um jogo muito imersivo, que mexe com fama, status e gan�ncia, � normal jogadores se viciarem no jogo. Jogatinas de 8 horas seguidas s�o normais para quem quer ser realmente bom no jogo. E para ficar muito bom, infelizmente voc� vai precisar de muitas, muitas horas no jogo. Quer ser um jogador casual e jogar s� de vez em quando? Sem problemas, mas voc� ser� um �n00b�, constantemente destru�do por jogadores muito mais fortes. Cuidado: o v�cio em WoW pode acabar com sua vida social. E com a sua imagem.

2 � Custo mensal, al�m do pre�o das expans�es

O valor do jogo est� menos de 30 reais com a primeira expans�o, que deixa voc� ir at� o level 70. Mas para adquirir cada expans�o � que s�o indispens�veis para continuar evoluindo no jogo � voc� ter� que desembolsar 99 reais por cada, al�m da mensalidade para poder jogar, que fica em 15 pratas. 15 reais at� pode ser barato, mas botando na ponta do l�pis, voc� gastar� 180 reais por ano, grana que poderia muito bem ser investida em outra coisa.

3 � Repetitividade

Grind � uma termo ingl�s muito utilizado por jogadores de WoW. Livremente traduzida para o portugu�s, grind significaria algo como �trabalho duro�. E isso n�o � por acaso: emWoW seu personagem inicia no level 1, e para chegar ao level 85 (que � level m�ximo do jogo), voc� ter� que repetir o ciclo �pegar quest � matar bichos � entregar quest� praticamente o jogo inteiro. Ao chegar no level 85 a coisa muda, e o grind vira buscar itens em cavernas e mais cavernas at� encontrar o que voc� estava buscando.

4 � Muito complexo

Aos primeiros n�veis o jogo � simples e intuitivo, mas quando voc� come�ar a fazer raids, ter� que instalar plugins para conseguir executar melhor sua fun��o no grupo, tornando sua tela mais ou menos isso:

Quem � veterano no WoW pode achar que isso � piada, mas a quantidade de informa��es na tela pode assustar jogadores menos experientes. Sem contar todos os atalhos de comandos no mouse e no teclado, que devem ser customizados minunciosamente para uma experi�ncia de jogo realmente satisfat�ria.

5 � Existem jogos melhores

Apesar de possuir constantes expans�es e atualiza��es, WoW � um jogo datado, e seu n�cleo permanece basicamente o mesmo. O fator custo x divers�o pode ser atingido facilmente com v�rios outros t�tulos, mesmo games que n�o s�o MMOs. Por exemplo: o recente The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, eleito pela revista Arkade como o melhor RPG do ano (spoilerzinho da edi��o de dezembro, exclusivo pra voc� que acompanha nosso blog!)

7 old Ancient Wonders of the World


These are the old seven ancient wonders of the world that come into consideration. The detail of all those wonders with their pictures are given below. 

1. Great Pyramid of Giza: 

The Great pyramid of Giza is the worlds largest and oldest Pyramid in Giza, Egypt. Its 756 feet long on each side and 450 feet high. The Ancient name of the Great Pyramid of Giza was Khufus Horizon. It took 20 years to build the whole pyramid. It is estimated that around 2,300,000 stone blocks were used in the construction of Great Pyramid that weight 2-30 tons each. There were three burial chambers inside the pyramid including bedrock underground chamber, the Queens Chamber and the Kings Chamber located from bottom to top respectively. It is the only pyramid that have built like that its four faces are slightly concave and no other pyramid has face like this one. The estimated weight of Pyramid is around 5,955,000 tons. 



2. The Garden of Babylon:


The garden of Babylon was built around 600 B.C and located about 50 km south, on the east bank of Euphrates River, of Baghdad, Iraq. Nebuchadnezzar II built the Hanging Gardens for his wife, Queen Amytis. Its height is around 24 m (80 foot) and it made up with Mud bricks waterproofed with lead. 


3. The Temple of Artemis:

The Temple of Artemis, also know as Artemesium, was constructed in the mid of 6th B.C and were located at Ephesus, now modern Turkey. This temple was built to honor the Greek Goddess Artemis. Temple were used as a house of worship and as a marketplace at different times. The temple were destroyed three times and then rebuilt and each time it become more larger and beautiful than previous. After the third time when temple were rebuilt, it was 60 feet high, 450 feet long and 225 feet wide. It had approximately 127 columns. It is consider that it is the first temple ever that were constructed with marble.

4. The Statue of Zeus:

The Statue of Zeus is constructed in the honor of greatest Greek God and the father of The Olympic games. The statue is 40 feet high. The statue was made up with wooden frame and covered in ivory and gold panels. The statue of Zeus were destroyed by fire in the 5th century.



5. The Mausoleum Tomb:

The Mausoleum was the tomb of Mausolus king, at the Ancient City of Halicarnassus. It is 140 feet high. In the front of the tomb, a staircase was built  that lead to the door of the mausoleum tomb. The stone lions were standing at the edge of the staircase.  Different artists contributed in the architects of tomb that was the combination of Greek, Egyptian and Lycian culture. Most part of the mausoleum was made up with white marble and surrounded by courtyard. 



6. Colossus of Rhodes:

It is also called the Statue of Liberty. The statue is 120 feet high from foot to crown. It is made up with bronze plates attached to iron framework. Over this, they used brass plates to create the skin and outer structure of Helios. It stood on 50 foot high with white marble pedestal. It is built in harbor. It took 12 years to built the whole statue. 


7. Lighthouse of Alexandria

It is located at Alexandria, Egypt. It is also known as Pharos of Alexandria. The lowest level of lighthouse was 100 feet square and 240 feet high. The second level had eight sides and 115 feet high and the third level was 60 feet high. On the top of this was a statue that was built in the honor of Poseidon, the God of the sea.

7 New Wonders of the World


These selection has been made by the New7Wonders Foundation who engage the people for research around the glob and people vote to winners by internet and phone.The Foundation says that the pool attracted almost hundred million votes. 


1. Christ the Redeemer Statue

Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This is 38 meters tall and weighs 635 tonnes. It is located at the peak of 700 meters Corcovado mountain and considered as one of the "new seven wonders of the world". The statue actually was constructed in France because at that time, workers were not able to build such a huge masterpiece. The head alone is made up of 50 individual parts. 



2. Great Wall of China


The Great Wall of China is the worlds longest human-made structure and it is more greater than anyone thought. According to the latest survey conducted by Chinas State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the length of the Great Wall of China is around 21,196.18 km (13,170.69 miles). The width of the Great Wall of China varies from 2.7-3.7 meters at the top and 4.6-9.1 at the base. It is approximately 2232 years old and approximately 500,000 people participate in the construction of the wall. It is reported that more than 1 million people were died during the construction of the wall. 

3. The Colosseum, Rome, Italy


The Roman Colosseum is the worlds largest amphitheater with the capacity of more than 50,000 spectators (viewers). It is 150 feet high, each layer contained 80 main arches. It took 10 years to construct. It was used for gladiator contest and public spectacles. It has been estimated that around 500,000 people and million wild animals were died in the Colosseum games. There were 80 entrances in all, 4 for imperial family and 76 for ordinary spectators. It is designed like that so the the venue could fill and evacuated in 5 minutes. 




4. Petra, Jordan


Petra is famous due to its stone structures such as a 138 foot tall temple carved with classical facades into rose-colored rock and also known as Rose Red City. The Arabian name of Petra is Al-Batra.. Petra is more famous for its 800 individual structures including tombs, baths, temples, arched gateways, buildings and colonnaded streets. It can held 4,000 people. It is estimated to 2,000 years old that represent the culture and architecture of Arab at that time. 


5. Machu Picchu, Peru


Machu Picchu is a pre-columbian Inca site that is located 2,438 meters above the sea level. The structure of Machu Picchu is very unique and constructed by using a technique called "Ashlar". The stones are cut to fit together so that not even a single needle can fit between the stones. Most of the stones that were used to build the city weighed more than 50 pounds and it is believed that no wheels were used to move these stones up to the mountain. They construct around 600 terraces in order to prevent the city from sliding out of the mountain, built Hundreds of workers pushed those heavy rocks up the vertical mountain side. 


6. Chich�n Itz�, Mexico


Chich�n Itz� is the most famous temple city of the Mayas. It is the center of Maya civilization from 750 A.D to 1200 A.D. It covers approximately 5 square kilometers. The city heart lies the Temple of Kukulkan which is at 24 meter height. It has four sides that contains 365 steps, 52 panels and 18 terraces. 



7. Taj Mahal, India


Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his beautiful wife Mumjat Mahal. Taj Mahal is the combination of Persian, Islamic and Indian architecture. 28 different types of precious and semi-precious stones were used in construction. Different types of Marble that were used in the construction of Taj Mahal brought from different countries including Arabia, Afghanistan, China and Sri Lanka. 99 names of ALLAH can be found as calligraphic inscriptions on the side of the actual tomb of Mumtaz Mahal. At the different time of the day, it appears to be in different color every time. Around 20,000 people contributed in construction and It took 22 years for completion. More than 1,000 elephants were employed for the transportation of the raw material.
