Dear friends,

Today I will just leave you with a few shots from last Christmas. The first Christmas my husband spent with my family, home, in Iasi. We went there for a bit more than 2 weeks and we had a lot of meeting with family and friends but we manage to have some really good time. Here you will see a couple of pictures from before Christmas (on the 22nd of December, to be more precise) and after (on the 28th of December).
Before Christmas, one day, we went with my mum for some shopping at the Palas Mall and by mistake we bumped into this carol concert in the middle of the mall (piano and all... you know... the works!) and we could not stop and listen... they were playing international carols so Marek enjoyed it as well. The acoustics was awesome and the choir had heavenly voices that resonated into our hearts and made us smile :)
“Christmas doesnt come from a store, maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more....”
Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas
“I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.”
Charles Dickens
“My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?”
  Bob Hope
“I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!”
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
The second set of pictures were taken in the Iasi Main Square - facing the two main hotels in Iasi: Hotel Traian and Hotel Unirea (which has a really nice restaurant on the 13th floor that overlooks Iasi and you can have a 360 degrees birds-eye-view over the city ;) it is a must do!).
“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.”
Norman Vincent Peale
“One of the most glorious messes in the world is the mess created in the living room on Christmas day. Dont clean it up too quickly."
~ (1919-), American writer, producer, humorist. ”
Andy Rooney
“And when we give each other Christmas gifts in His name, let us remember that He has given us the sun and the moon and the stars, and the earth with its forests and mountains and oceans--and all that lives and move upon them. He has given us all green things and everything that blossoms and bears fruit and all that we quarrel about and all that we have misused--and to save us from our foolishness, from all our sins, He came down to earth and gave us Himself.”
Sigrid Undset
